iPhone 17e Design and Launch Timeline Leaked; Trial Production to Commence Shortly

The iPhone 17e will be an affordable smartphone from the Cupertino-based giant Apple.

The handset will be the successor to the iPhone 16e and take the place of the iPhone SE series.

In two separate posts on the popular Chinese platform Weibo, a tipster who goes by the name Fixed focus digital hints at the partial design and trial production details of the smartphone. However, the posts do not explicitly mention the name of the smartphone.

Design Details

Through his/her posts, the tipster claims that the iPhone 17e will have a 15P outer packaging and the same back styling as that of its predecessor. This means that the upcoming smartphone is likely to have only one camera on the rear. There is also a mention that the smartphone will see the light of day in May 2026.

The same tipster also states that the mass production of the handset will commence soon. This is a deviation from an earlier CIRP report that stated that the iPhone 17e will follow the footsteps of its predecessor and launch around the same time this year. To recall, the iPhone 16e made its presence felt globally last year in February. Hence, the handset release is expected to be delayed by a few months.

Expected iPhone 17e Specs

There is no information about any of the specs of the iPhone 17e. However, it is speculated that there will be quite a few similarities to the iPhone 16e.

For the unversed, the iPhone 16e houses an A18 processor and a C1 in-house modem from its manufacturer. The smartphone also supports Apple Intelligence. It has a notch in the display.

In the Indian subcontinent, the model with 128 GB storage has a price tag of INR 59,900, whereas the model with 256 GB storage is priced at INR 89,900. The handset has two color options: white and black.
