iPhone 19 Pro to Feature a 100% Silicon Battery and No Cutout or Bezels

Apple is making a bold move to revamp the design of its iPhone 19 Pro to mark its two-decade celebrations.

According to a recent piece of news, the Cupertino giant is heading for a game-changing experience. The major changes will be in terms of the battery, display, and selfie camera.

Going by the latest news that falls in line with an earlier report, the brand will opt for a battery change by doing away with the carbon cathode in the present silicon-carbide battery with a silicon content of less than 20%. This battery will pave the way for a fully silicon battery that results in longer battery life and improved energy density. The smartphone may also be able to support a chassis thinner than the upcoming iPhone 17 Air. The battery optimization may be AI-driven and also be better than before with the manufacturer’s iOS 21, which is slated to debut in 2027.

On the display front, the brand will deliver a bezel-less experience with the iPhone 19 Pro. Surrounded by the glass cover and AMOLED panel on all sides, the handset will have a close to 100% screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, the Face ID sensors and selfie camera will not be visible at all and will be concealed completely under its display.

What makes this stand out is that while the under-display technology is not new in the smartphone world, it will be the first time Apple is setting the stage for this in its smartphones.

It is worth keeping in mind that Apple has not officially made any announcement regarding its plans for these major changes. All these are mere speculations at this point and can change over time.

The iPhone 19 Pro will be a part of the brand’s upcoming iPhone 19 lineup that will break cover in 2027.
