Apple is working on the launch of its upcoming iPhone SE 4 after the release of the last budget-friendly iPhone SE way back in March 2022.
Several details and specifications of the smartphone have emerged in the past. One such report of the iPhone SE 4 handset also indicated that it may be called the iPhone 16e.
Five Possible Upgrades
One of the major upgrades will be the debut of the manufacturer’s new 5G modem in the smartphone. The handset will support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS while consuming less power at the same time.

The iPhone SE4 will incorporate Apple Intelligence for the first time that has so far been found only in the premium smartphones. For this purpose, the handset will feature 8 GB RAM and an Apple A18 chip.
The smartphone will have an OLED 6.1-inch panel that is much bigger than in its predecessors. This panel will have support a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a Face ID setup and the front snapper.
For the first time in SE phones, the handset will have a major camera uplift with a 48 MP primary snapper and a 24 MP secondary snapper.
The iPhone SE4 will witness a USB-C charging port in place of the traditional lightning port that is present in all the SE smartphones released so far.

According to a report in a Korean publication Naver, the smartphone will come with a price tag of USD 500. This falls in line with one of the several rumor leaks of the past that mentions the handset will be priced at USD 499.
If the manufacturer plans to follow the same release pattern that it did for the iPhone SE 3 way back in 2022, the iPhone SE 4 may break cover in the first quarter of the next year in March 2025.
