Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is actively working on its upcoming iQOO 15 series, comprising at least two smartphones, the iQOO 15 and 15 Pro.

While a few leaks about the Pro variant have appeared in the past, a new leak has now appeared with scant details about the base model iQOO 15 following an earlier report about the handset housing a 7,000 mAh battery.

The new leak comes in the form of a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station whose predictions have been accurate most of the time. However, it does not mention the name of the smartphone. Only partial details of the camera and display have been mentioned.

As for the display, the smartphone will have a straight display panel from Samsung with LIPO technology. This display will have a screen size of 6.85 inches with a resolution of 2K.

LIPO Technology

The term LIPO stands for Low Injection Pressure Molding. In handsets that use this technology, the middle frame and the display screen are firmly bonded in place using polymer particles. This technology also results in a considerable cut in the size of the bezels.

The iQOO 15 is not the only smartphone that is anticipated to incorporate the LIPO technology. The Xiaomi 16 series will also support this technology and encompass symmetrical bezels with a size of 1.1 mm to 1.2 mm.

The 15 series will be launched in China as the successor to the 13 lineup. The series is slated to break cover in the home country in October this year.
