Minecraft: New Leash Update Makes The Process of Transporting Mob Safer

Minecraft leash update

With the help of thicker leashes, players now have the option of putting together a caravan of animals.

In the recent past, one has seen Mojang taking several steps to ensure Minecraft remains fresh and relevant for today’s gamers. Recently, Mojang did something to bring about a change in the way players facilitate the movement for the mobs in the game. As a part of the update rolled out this week, Mojang has made several alterations to the leash mechanism.

Anybody who has been playing Minecraft for some time would vouch for the fact that transporting all the mobs with the help of the leash was a difficult thing to do. While moving through the rough terrains, it would often break. Thanks to this latest update, one would be able to transport multiple mobs with the help of the Minecraft leash.

Now, leashes are twice as thick in Java. When you look at them, you realize they bear a strong resemblance to Bedrock’s visuals. Players now have the option of leashing two or more Minecraft mobs at the same time. This will result in the formation of a linked caravan, quite similar to the way Wandering Trader is in the game.

As a player, you are required to engage with a mob while sneaking out and being in charge of the lead. When you see two mobs being wrangled up, you have to hold sneak again and engage with either mobs in order to complete the caravan. To increase its length, all you need to do is repeat this process. By following this process, you would be able to put together entire hordes of cows, camels, sheep and chickens and get them transported over to another base.

One of the most striking features in this new Minecraft leash update is the one that enables you to transport any mob with the help of the happy Ghasts. Earlier, one would find it difficult or impossible to fit animals like camels, horses and sniffers on a boat. However, now one can transport them comfortably using the Harness, Happy Ghasts and leash.

Once the player is in possession of a Happy Ghast, you must remember an important thing. You have to engage with it without letting go of the harness to ensure it remains rideable. After this, you will have to put the leash on the Ghast and get the other end attached to another passive mob. This results in the formation of a quad leash.

All you need to do now is left-click on the Ghast in order to ride it and get the animals transported safely. A similar process can be carried out with boats that are designed to carry one or two villagers along with a chest. If you have seen the Minecraft movie, this setup will remind you of a scene from it.

The mob will get oriented towards you once you leash it and start dragging it towards you. You can experience this mechanic optimally when the mob is standing on level ground. The movement, in this case, will come across as being very organic or realistic.
