Recently, a new GTA 6 leak gave fans an impression that the Wanted system could undergo an overhaul. As per an observant Reddit user, a major change could be made to the Wanted system in the game. This change, according to the Reddit user, could alter the gameplay significantly.

In the earlier GTA games, one came across a simple version of the Wanted system. The player had to commit a crime. For minor offences, a single star would be awarded to them. As they engage in more number of crimes, they could win five stars. The increase in the number of stars would also lead to the police getting more intense with the chase. The police could end up calling military forces to nab the player.

The leaked footage from GTA 6 indicates that one could witness a change in this system. The Reddit user pointed out that the trailer features a moment wherein one sees the police not being able to recognize the suspects, Jason and Lucia. The two protagonists end up finding a way out of the crime scene. This could mean that the police does not have a proper description of the culprits. If this is true, one could see players being pursued in the game in a different way.

The GTA 6 leak offers more insights into the kind of changes one could see in the Wanted system once the game arrives. Another leak showcases Jason and Lucia robbing a dinner and getting a message about the police receiving a description of the getaway vehicle. This indicates the presence of a complex system in the game which could feature law enforcement tracking the players based on a variety of factors.

The GTA 6 leak also indicates the usage of masks to enable players to avoid the identification process. Though these changes have not been confirmed as yet, there is a good possibility of them being implemented. If implemented, they would significantly alter the Wanted system the way it exists today and offer a more realistic experience to players.

For a long time, there have been talks about Rockstar releasing a second GTA 6 trailer. If the news turns out to be true, one could get an idea about whether these changes are being implemented in the game or not.
