Minecraft is known for testing new features with the community so that issues can be spotted and resolved.
The Minecraft Java Snapshot and Bedrock Preview update features two chicken variants, dry grass and cactus flowers. While Minecraft was originally created by Markus “Notch” Person, Mojang developed it further and put it together in a manner that got lapped up by gamers across different spectrums in a huge way.
For a very long time, the Minecraft Java Snapshot and Bedrock Preview have worked towards offering players a glimpse of what they could expect in the game next. On the Snapshot and Preview, players do not get the opportunity to access big builds or rail lines they had put together in their Primary Seeds. However, they do get to explore multiple benefits that make the Snapshot and Preview important.

Apart from giving players to get an idea about the content that will be arriving in the game in the near future, it gives the studio the space to test new features with the community before rolling them out in a big way. This helps the studio resolve issues pertaining to new mobs, items and resources. The latest Java Snapshot and Bedrock Preview builds are patched in order to bring in a couple of adjustments, including two Minecraft Mob variants. Several significant alterations to cactuses, too, have been made.
Recently, Minecraft confirmed that the Snapshot and Preview have been updated to include two new Chicken variants, the Dry Grass and Cactus Flower. A couple of days ago, the Minecraft test servers were updated to include unique Cow Variants and Firefly Bushes. By bringing in new additions, Mojang has made it clear that it is making a conscious effort to introduce the next major content patch for the main client soon.

If one looks at the patch notes, the two chicken variants are referred to as cold and warm. The cold one features a mix of dark gray and blue hues along with three tufts of feathers emerging from the back of their heads. The warm one, on the other hand, looks very similar to the existing chickens. It, however, is gold in color.
The Dry Grass, contrary to what some players believe, is not the same as Dead Bushes. This one, too, makes an appearance in the Preview and Screenshot. Now, players can see the Cactus Flower emerging from the top of the cactuses. In the near future, one can expect several more adjustments to be made.
