There is good news for those who have been playing GTA V on PC.
In September 2013, Rockstar Games launched Grand Theft Auto V with much fanfare. It has been more than a decade since the release of GTA V and the game continues to remain extremely popular. A report, which came out a while back, stated that GTA V has emerged as the second-highest-selling video game of all time by selling 210 million copies. The game, therefore, has not just been a profit-making entity for Rockstar Games but also proved to be a boon for the gaming industry.
Several factors have contributed to GTA V retaining its popularity after all these years. From graphics to storytelling, everything about the game boasts of high-end quality. The quality of graphics in the game can be gauged by the fact that they appear fresh even today. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game feature enhanced visual effects. Apart from being a great-looking game, GTA V has also registered its impact as one that takes storytelling very seriously.

While everybody in the gaming community is looking forward to the arrival of GTA 6, gamers have no option but to stick to GTA 5 before the next iteration of the GTA franchise is launched. The kind of experience fans had with GTA 5 is also one of the reasons why they have huge expectations from GTA 6. GTA 5 has scored on all fronts and they expect GTA 6 to go several notches higher in every department.
If you are somebody who plays GTA V on PC, you can look forward to fresh upgrades arriving soon. These are upgrades that were earlier rolled out to the game’s PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. These upgrades will arrive through a free update that will be launched on March 4th.
The update will come equipped with ray tracing features that will be exclusively available on PC. Some of these features include global illumination and ambient occlusion. There will also be support for FSR1, FSR3, and DLSS 3. Fans can also look forward to faster loading times with the help of SSD and DirectStorage on supported devices and configurations.

As per an official statement released by Rockstar Games, there will be “enhanced support for higher resolutions, higher aspect ratios, and higher framerates”.
PC users should also be happy to see support for Dolby Atmos. Once the update is rolled out, the game will be compatible with Sony’s DualSense Controllers and their adaptive triggers.
For a long time, PC players lamented about not having access to several features that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users had. After the launch of this update, this is one thing they will not complain about. After the launch of the update, they will also be able to buy a GTA Plus membership. Among other things, they will have access to new vehicles and upgrades at Hao’s Special Works auto shop.
