Though not much is known about this new feature at the moment, it is expected to be different from Nintendo’s recent offerings.
Recently, Nintendo teased a new Nintendo Switch Online feature. The Japanese multinational video game company, however, did not divulge much information about it. At the moment, Nintendo Switch Online players have been given the opportunity to sign up and playtest this experimental online feature.
Nintendo Switch was launched in early 2017. Ever since its launch, a plethora of features have been brought in to enhance the experience of the users. Nintendo Switch, just like several other gaming consoles, features a variety of online capabilities, including the players’ ability to play online multiplayer games. It also has a big library of older titles from consoles like the Game Boy, NES and others.

In the month of September, several titles were added to the game library of Nintendo Switch Online. Many more titles are expected to be added in the month of October. This particular feature gives players the opportunity to experience online gaming with others. It also enables them to revisit older Nintendo titles. Nintendo is currently working on an additional online feature that shall be out soon.
A playtest for a new feature designed for Nintendo Switch’s online service was announced on Nintendo’s official X account. This playtest was then run on October 10 at 8 am Pacific Time. While Nintendo did not share any important information, it was revealed that players who have a Nintendo Switch Online and expansion pack subscription would have the opportunity to participate in this test on a first come first serve basis. To be eligible for the playtest, players will have to fulfill some criteria. After that, they can sign up for it through the official website of Nintendo.
Players are required to have a Nintendo account and an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Players also need to be above the age of 18 years to get their Nintendo account registered in the US, UK, Japan, Germany, Spain or Italy. Players have also been asked to download an exclusive software and install it on their Nintendo Switch.
