As the launch date of the OnePlus 13 is nearing, a new leak gives an insight into something that has not been mentioned before.
Snapdragon posted a video on its Weibo account teasing its upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The short video makes no mention of the details of the processor other than the fact that the chip will incorporate Oryon CPU cores. However, it did show a smartphone with its rear camera setup in a circular pattern on the left corner at the top. It is safe to assume that the handset shown is the OnePlus 13 as this has been the standard style adopted for its cameras in the back panel right from the OnePlus 11.

Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station also mentions that the design of the smartphone in the video is the same as that of the OnePlus13. However, rather than confirming that it is indeed this smartphone, he says that there is no reason to doubt that it is not so.
OnePlus13 Snapdragon 8 Elite Geekbench Scores
A recent Geekbench listing showed the results of the single-core and multi-core tests of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor that was carried out on a manufacturer-model smartphone presumed to be the OnePlus 13.

The Geekbench listing revealed that the OnePlus 13 scored 3,236 points in the single-core test and 10,049 points in the multi-core test.
While earlier leaks hinted that Xiaomi would be the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in its Xiaomi 15 series, the video makes us believe that this credit will go to the OnePlus 13 which will eventually debut with this processor. However with both OnePlus and Qualcomm yet to make an official confirmation about the launch date of the smartphone and the processor, it is best to consider the information with a grain of salt.
