As the launch date of the OnePlus 13 draws closer, more details and specifications of the smartphone have started getting revealed.
The latest news is about the support offered by the OnePlus 13 smartphone for magnetic wireless charging. This is a relatively new concept for Android handsets while Apple has been incorporating this feature for quite some time now.
Magnetic Wireless Charging Confirmed
It has been confirmed by OnePlus president Louis Lee on the China-based Weibo platform that the smartphone will offer magnetic wireless charging support. What stands out is that the president did not have an explicit post to mention about this feature. Also, he did not mention the term directly in his comment.

A OnePlus fan recently took to posting on Weibo asking if the upcoming smartphone would use the wooden case of the initial OnePlus smartphones as its protective case. The reason cited is that the bamboo case was not only classy but also comfortable to use.
Li Jie Louis from OnePlus replied that while there was no possibility for wooden cases, the smartphone would support woodgrain cases that are just as good and have a magnetic suction property that may be a hint indicating magnetic wireless charging.
Rumored OnePlus 13 Specifications
According to various leaks that have come up so far, the OnePlus 13 smartphone will have a 2K LTPO display with a slightly curved design. The smartphone will have a three-camera setup with a 50 MP resolution for each shooter in the back.

The magnetic system is expected to deliver an integrated user experience like what Apple offers through its MagSafe technology.
The manufacturer will mostly follow its usual trend for releasing the OnePlus 13. The smartphone will initially have a China launch and a global rollout will follow later.
