Some specifications of the 13R variant have been leaked in the recent past. According to these details, the smartphone is likely to incorporate an OLED 1.5K display supplied by BOE. Further details like the screen size are yet to be known at the moment.

Under the hood, the handset is slated to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This would be a major processor upgrade if it is equipped with the Elite processor considering that the R models usually have a generation older processor.

Global Launch

The predecessor OnePlus 12R that was available globally was a rebranding of the OnePlus Ace 2. The Ace 2 model catered only to the Chinese market. Going by this trend, the OnePlus 13R can be expected to have a global launch as the rebranded variant of the OnePlus Ace 3. The Ace 3 smartphone is slated to arrive in China in December 2024.

While the China-based smartphone will operate on ColorOS-based Android 15, the global model will feature OxygenOS 15.
