The POCO F7 Ultra has now followed the POCO F7 Pro in getting listed in the IMEI database.
The database listing reveals the model number 24122RKC7G of the Poco F7 Ultra smartphone along with the moniker. The Pro model was spotted on the same database way back in July this year.
IMEI Database Listings
The ‘G’ in the model numbers of the F7 Pro and Ultra models hint that the smartphones will have a global release. The model numbers match those of the upcoming Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro with model numbers 24117RK2CC and 24122RK2CC respectively.
According to a post by Erencan Yilmaz on the popular X platform, the POCO F7 Pro will be a rebranding of the Redmi K80. He also goes on to add that the POCO F7 Ultra will be a rebranded Redmi K80 Pro.
The POCO F7 Ultra and POCO F7 Pro have officially appeared in the GSMA IMEI database. This is the first time POCO will announce a smartphone called “Ultra”.

The post mentions that the F7 Pro will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset under the hood. On the other hand, the F7 Ultra will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Expected Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro Specifications
Very little information is available about the Redmi K80 at the moment. From what information is available at the moment, the smartphone will be equipped with a 2K flat OLED display, a telephoto lens for macro shots, and a 6500 mAh battery.
As far as the higher-end Redmi K80 Pro is concerned, the handset will come with a 2K OLED supporting a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The smartphone will also include a 50 MP camera with 3x optical zoom, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, and a 6000 mAh battery with wireless charging capability and 100 W wired rapid charge support.

Both smartphones are expected to have at least an IP 68 rating and launch in the Chinese market in November 2024 at competitive price points.
The POCO F series is known to feature the Pro variant as its top-end model. This is now expected to change with the upcoming POCO F7 series where the manufacturer is introducing an Ultra model that would be at the top of the series.
