Realme Neo 8 Key Specs Leak Reveals Processor and Other Details

Realme is likely to focus on the Realme Neo 8 lineup after launching the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro in its home country, China.

A recent leak shares some details about the possible chipset, display, and battery of the base variant, the Neo 8.

The above leak appears in the form of a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, who has been accurate most of the time with his/her reports in the past.

Expected Processor, Display, and Battery

According to the post, Realme will opt for either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm or a Dimensity 9500e processor from MediaTek under its hood.

The Dimensity 9500e chipset will be an advanced variant of the present Dimensity 9400 Plus processor. The brand will perform A/B testing to finalize on the processor.

Regarding the display, the Realme Neo 8 will house a display with OLED LTPS technology and a resolution of 1.5K. This technology will offer better eye protection. The display will house a 3D in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

As for the battery, the smartphone will offer a major power reserve. The handset will house a huge battery with a capacity of at least 8000 mAh.

The handset will arrive as the successor to the Neo 7. For the unversed, the current Neo smartphone has an OLED LTPO display with a size of 6.78 inches, a resolution of 1.5K, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Under the hood, it is powered by a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 80 W charging and a Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. For the camera setup, the handset has 50 MP and 8 MP cameras on the back and a 16 MP camera on the front.

The Realme Neo 7 saw the light of day in China in December 2024. The manufacturer will likely follow the same trend and launch the Realme Neo 8 around the same time this year.
