A YouTuber has compared the two versions and spoken about why fans should have god expectations from the Red Dead Redemption PC version.
A YouTuber, who identifies as Cycu1, just dropped a new video comparing the Red Dead Redemption PC version and PS5 version. The comparison was quite detailed and gave one a good idea about the differentiating elements between the two versions. Based on this comparison, one can infer that the PC version of the game will have relatively better visuals than the PS4/PS5 version.
The YouTuber carried out the comparison in a balanced and fair manner. They used identical scenes to compare how well they flesh out in the PC and PS5 version. The PC footage which they have shown has been derived from the PC trailer which was launched recently. The PS5 version is largely the PS4 build that is running in backward compatibility mode.
Some of the prominent differences between the PC and PS5 version can be seen to the naked eye quite easily. There are significant differences in color grading. The PC version boasts of a more refined lighting system. It also has better shadows, bloom effects and draw distance. However, based on the comments, there are some who prefer the PS5 version as far as the color grading is concerned.

On October 29, Red Dead Redemption will get a full-fledged launch on PC. To play the game on PC, a player is required to have a Rockstar Games account. Red Dead Redemption on PC has been priced at $49.99. The Red Dead Redemption PC version is expected to create a stronger visual impact than the PS4/PS5 version. However, Rockstar would have to do a lot more to justify the price.
Since the game has been around for a very long time, a lot of players might not observe some of the visual improvements while trying it out on PC. Once the PC version comes out, one will get a better idea of how well the price is justified. Rockstar could roll out further updates based on the feedback received by fans.
