There have been various talks going around about the upcoming Redmii K80 series, comprising the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro.
These smartphones have also obtained radio certification. The most recent leak about the lineup shares some interesting insights about their chipsets and cameras.
Chipset Specifications
Going by the latest leak, only the K80 smartphone will house Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The K80 Pro counterpart will encompass the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. As a result, the Pro variant will portray a key enhancement in terms of AI, CPU, and GPU performance.
Camera Details of Redmi K80 and K80 Pro
The Redmi K80 series will have a triple-camera setup in each handset. The primary camera in both smartphones will be a 50 MP shooter. The two handsets will also have a telephoto camera. However, the telephoto camera of the K80 Pro will offer 3x zoom along with 50 MP resolution. This means that the Pro model will have an upgrade over its Pro 70 predecessor with up to 2x zoom.

Recalling earlier leaks, the Redmi K80 lineup is expected to have a 2K 6.67-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an upgraded C9 display material. It has also been tipped that the Pro model will be equipped with a large 6500 mAh battery.
There is no information at the moment about the pricing details of the K80 and K80 Pro. A post by Digital Chat Station mentions that the upcoming flagship chipset will be priced at USD 190, which is an increase in price by 20% over its predecessor. The K70 and K70 Pro were launched with prices of USD 352 ad USD 465. With the price increase of the processor, it is expected that the upcoming handsets will have an appropriate price rise.
The Redmi K80 and K80 Pro are slated to arrive as a November launch in the home market in China. They are likely to have a POCO F7 and POCO F7 Pro rebranding for other countries.
