According to a recent leak by trustworthy tipster Digital Chat Station, the K80 Pro will be packed with a huge 6000 mAh silicon battery. He goes on to add that the battery will support wireless charging as well as 100 W flash charging. If this is true, the smartphone is bound to offer a major battery boost when compared to its predecessor, the Redmi K70 Pro which came with a 5000 mAh battery.

The post also mentions that the battery will have a high energy density that is typical of silicon batteries. It can also mean that the smartphone will be packed with a slim battery, which in turn plays a key role in determining the overall thickness of the handset. The smartphone will not necessarily have a bulky profile even if the battery size ends up being large.

Moreover, it would be a welcome change if the K80 Pro supports wireless charging as mentioned. This is because the smartphone will be the first manufacturer to offer this kind of charging in the K series.

The same post that talks about the battery details also reveals that the handset will house the Snapdragon Elite 8, which will be released shortly by Qualcomm. In contrast, the K70 Pro had a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

It’s worth noting that these details are still speculations and we have yet to hear from Redmi to confirm them.
