Redmi is actively working on including the Redmi K80 Ultra in its Redmi K80 lineup that includes the K80 and K80 Pro variants, which were released in November 2024.
While there is a fairly long time to go before the launch of the smartphone, a new leak gives some details about the specs of the screen, processor, and battery of the upcoming handset along with its design and durability.
Expected Redmi K80 Ultra Specifications
While tipster Digital Chat Station does not reveal the name of the smartphone in the Weibo post, it is fair enough to assume that the specs mentioned are that of the Ultra variant in the Redmi K80 series.

The smartphone will have an OLED flat panel with a resolution of 1.5 K. There will be a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the display.
On the processor front, the Redmi K80 Ultra will be powered by a Dimensity 9400+ processor under the hood. The leak does not mention the RAM and storage options supported.
In terms of battery, the handset will draw its juice from a battery with at least 6,500 mAh battery. This indicates that there is a considerable improvement in the battery size compared to what is found in the Redmi K70 Ultra which has a 5,500 mAh battery.
The K80 Ultra will have a metal frame in the center and be supported by very narrow bezels on all four sides. The smartphone will feature high durability with its IP68 protection rating which makes its chassis water-resistant and durable.

The K70 Ultra predecessor was launched by the manufacturer in July 2024. If Redmi opts for the same launch timeframe, the Redmi K80 Ultra may break cover sometime in mid-2005.
It is worth considering the above specs with a pinch of salt as none of them have been officially confirmed by Redmi and hence could change over time.
