While Redmi launched its Redmi Note 14 series with 5G support last month, the manufacturer is now working on its upcoming Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G with the codename ‘Obsidian’.
This smartphone is expected to be less expensive than its 5G counterpart and have another chipset. The handset was first listed on the IMEI database and associated with the model number 24116RACCG and not many details. It has now made its appearance on the FCC platform with the same model number. This platform also shares some important specifications of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G along with its internal antenna schematics.
Note 14 Pro 4G Specifications
The Note 14 Pro 4G will come in four RAM and storage options allowing users to choose the right combination based on their needs. These four options are 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage
On the display front, the smartphone will have a POLED 6.67-inch screen. The screen will support a 1080 x 2400 or FHD+ resolution. The screen size is the same as that of the 5G variant but the resolution is slightly lesser.
The listing does not reveal any details about the processor. Going by reports, it is expected that the handset will house a MediaTek Dimensity chip. The predecessor Redmi Note 13 4G had a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra SoC while the 5G model has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset.

The Note 14 Pro 4G will be powered by a 5500 mAh battery like the 5G variant. While the charging rate is not known at the moment, the fact that the chipset is likely to be less powerful and the resolution is lesser, the battery life is anticipated to be more than that of the 5G variant.
The exact launch timeframe is still unclear. However, the FCC and IMEI listings hint that the launch date cannot be very far off.
