Redmi is working on its upcoming Redmi Note 14 series for the Chinese market. The Redmi Note 13 series was announced last year and the Note 14 series has already been spotted on the 3C certification website.
This indicates that the Redmi Note 14 series launch is not far off and will take place in the second half of September. General manager of Redmi, Wang Teng Thomas, has slowly started letting out details of the next-generation Note series smartphones. His latest posts on the popular Chinese Weibo platform give some insight into the enhancements that can be expected in the Note 14 lineup.
IP68 Rating
In one of his posts, Wang Teng Thomas ascertains that the upcoming Redmi Note smartphones will feature an IP68 rating. Among the Redmi Note 13 models of last year, the Note 13 and Note 13 Pro had only an IP54 protection rating whilst the Note 13 Pro+ had an IP68 rating. Similarly, Wang Teng Thomas’s Weibo post also hints that the top-level Note 14 Pro+ will be housed in an IP68-rated chassis. The chassis of other smartphones in the lineup is unclear at the moment.
Better Battery Life and Durability
A more recent Weibo post by Wang Teng Thomas mentions significant improvements in the new Note models with respect to battery and durability. The Note 13 Pro had a 5,100 mAh battery featuring 67 W charging support while the bigger Note 13 Pro+ features a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 120 W charging.

The Redmi will likely opt for bigger batteries than its Note 13 predecessors for the Note 14 Pro as well as 14 Pro+ models.
According to new reports, the Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ models will have the same display and rear camera setup. They will both sport OLED displays with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The smartphones will also have a 50 MP triple-camera setup on their rear housings.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro is slated to house a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset under the hood. On the other hand, the Note 14 Pro+ will feature a Dimensity 7350 chipset. Either the Note 14 Pro or the Note 14 Pro+ may offer 90 W rapid charging support.
