Xiaomi’s sub-brand is working on the launch of the Redmi Pad 2 as the Redmi Pad successor.
The tablet has been listed on multiple certification platforms in the past. Following this, the device has now appeared on the FCC platform. The listing reveals only the model number 25040RPDAL and not the moniker.
FCC Platform Listing
The FCC platform reveals the schematic renders of the Redmi, thereby giving an insight into its design. The design indicates that the camera module on the rear will be arranged in a pill-shaped layout. On the side, there will be a power button and a couple of speaker grilles at the top.

The Redmi Pad 2 will run on Android 15 OS topped up with the manufacturer’s recent HyperOS 2.1. The device will support Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity options. It is unlikely that there will be cellular connectivity support.
Redmi is tight-lipped about the major specifications of its tablet. While the launch details are also yet to be known, the 2504 in the model number is a sign that the device will see the light of day in April 2025. More details will likely surface as the launch date draws nearer.
Interestingly, the Realme Pad was launched way back in 2025 and had a 10.4-inch WUGXA+ LCD panel. This tablet also has a gaming Helio G80 processor, 4 GB RAM, and 64 GB storage. It has an 8 MP camera on the front and back and is powered by a 7,100 mAh battery.

This is an indication that we can expect to see the Redmi Pad 2 getting launched in various markets outside the home country.
