Samsung has started rolling out its monthly security updates for October 2024 and some high-end flagships have already received this update.
The manufacturer is now offering the security update for some of its midrange smartphones like Samsung Galaxy A53 and A52 as well. The update addresses more than 40 related issues and does not introduce any new features.
As always, users can avail the update through the Software update section in their Settings app for an automatic update. They also have the option to download the firmware and use the Odin tool to flash the update file manually with a Windows PC.
Samsung Galaxy A53
The security update is right now available only for Galaxy A53 users in Europe. However, it is expected that the update will soon be available to users across the globe. The firmware for the European market is associated with the build number A536BXXCEXIA.
Samsung Galaxy A52
The Korean tech giant has released the security patch with build number A52FXXS9FXJ1 for Galaxy A52 in 10 countries in the Asian and European continents. Users in Australia, Malaysia, Caucasus, Kazakhstan, and Germany are eligible to get this update. It is also available in Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, Ukraine, and The Philippines. Other countries will start receiving the update shortly.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
Samsung started offering its security update for its Galaxy S21 FE customers in the United States a few days back. Following this, the update is now available for users in many countries in the European market like Austria, Ukraine, Croatia, the UK, Poland, Russia, Sweden, and Slovenia to mention a few. The update is available as two firmware versions to support the two model numbers. Smartphones with model number SM-G990B will receive the firmware version G990BXXSAGXJ1 whereas handsets associated with model number SM-G990B will receive the update with the build number G990B2XXS9GXJ1.
