A recent report has now surfaced indicating that there will be a new addition to the Samsung Galaxy S25 series with the name Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim.
According to the report, the smartphone has been spotted on the IMEI/GSMA database. This falls in line with a piece of earlier news on a Korean website that Samsung will be including a new smartphone that is slimmer than the other Galaxy S25 handsets in the lineup. The new phone could possibly be called Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim.
IMEI/GSMA Database Listing
The IMEI/GSMA database listing reveals only the model number SM-S937U of the smartphone. While the moniker is not revealed in the listing, it is safe to assume that the handset is the Galaxy S25 Slim as the model number follows the same pattern as the other smartphones in the series. For reference, the Galaxy S25 is associated with the model number SM-S937.
The “U” at the end of the model number indicates that the smartphone is an unlocked model for the US market.
Camera Similar to Galaxy S25 Ultra Shooter
Going by what tipster Ice Universe has to say, the Galaxy S25 will have a camera similar to the S25 Ultra variant in the same series. While he does not mention if all the cameras will be identical in both handsets, it is likely that only the primary shooters will be the same.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to have a quad-camera setup on the rear panel. These are expected to be a 200 MP main shooter with OIS, a 50 MP super-telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, a 10 MP telephoto shooter supporting 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera is slated to be a 12 MP selfie shooter. However, the possibility of the smartphone borrowing other cameras also from the Ultra variant cannot be ruled out.
There is no confirmation on when the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will be launched. Talks it will enter the market only after the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This means that the handset is likely to have a Q2 2025 release around April or May next year.
