A new Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-S9380 has just been spotted on China’s 3C Certification database.

This is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra as the earlier Galaxy S24 Ultra was associated with a similar SM-S9280 model number. Just as the smartphone has made its appearance on the certification website, prominent leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer better known as OnLeaks has also given an insight into the design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra through a leaked render.

The CAD render displayed by OnLeaks shows that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is not expected to have major changes in design with respect to its predecessor. However, another tipster Ice Universe has claimed that the render is not completely correct and there are a few errors as far as the metal frame, bezels, texture, and design of the camera’s ring are concerned. He also shared a modified CAD render of the handset.

The recent leak also mentions the size of the upcoming S25 Ultra as 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm. This will make the smartphone not only narrower, taller, and thinner than the S24 Ultra but also lighter.

Satellite Connectivity Support

The 3C Certification details of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra indicate that the smartphone will be available without a charger. However, like its predecessor, it will also offer 45 W charging.

3C certification

Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has satellite connectivity support according to the certification. This will be the first handset from the manufacturer to offer this feature.

Going by past reports, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will house a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy chip under the hood. The smartphone will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. It will have a 200 MP primary camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 50 MP ISOCELL JN3 ultra-wide lens, as well as a periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
