Qualcomm recently unveiled its flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in Hawaii at the Snapdragon Summit 2024.
The processor has an eight-core structure with two prime cores that have a clocking frequency of 4.32 GHz and six performance cores with a clocking frequency of 3.53 GHz. Even before its launch, the processor has been in the news with various manufacturers expected to include the chipset in their flagship smartphones and one of the Samsung Galaxy S25 models is expected to have this processor too.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
Samsung is expected to opt for the Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite 8 processor in at least one of its smartphones in the Galaxy S25 series. It was expected that the series would incorporate the manufacturer’s Exynos 2500 processor but with their limited availability, it may not be the case anymore.

As a result, the entire Galaxy S25 lineup may incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It may also be the case that only the top-end S25 Ultra model will come with this processor while the base and Plus models will house a MediaTek processor.
Vivo X200 Ultra
The Vivo X200 Ultra is the top-end smartphone offered by Vivo in its upcoming Vivo X200 series. With the manufacturer confirming on its Weibo handle that it will launch a smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it is likely that the X200 Ultra is the handset being referenced.
With the smartphone slated to launch next year, very few details are confirmed for now. However, according to a leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, the handset will house a quad-camera setup on the rear comprising a primary 50 MP main camera, a telephoto 50 MP ultra-wide camera, an ultra-wide 50 MP sensor, and a 200 MP telephoto periscope lens. The handset is also slated to feature satellite communication support.
OnePlus 13

The GT 7 Pro is anticipated to have a Samsung custom-made display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1K resolution. This will be the first handset from the manufacturer to have an IP 68/69 rating and an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
