Samsung S24 Ultra

Samsung is known to keep offering new technologies for its smartphones. These technologies have contributed to their better performance to a great extent.

One of the most recent patents filed by the manufacturer is related to haptic feedback for a more immersive experience.

Immersive Haptic Feedback

According to a recently filed Samsung patent spotted by MSPowerUser, Samsung is working on incorporating more accurate haptic feedback on the touchscreens of its upcoming smartphones. The manufacturer is implementing this by using various vibration motors at different locations on the smartphone.

The precise and immersive feedback will help users experience much better gaming and UI interaction on their handsets. For example, it can generate the exact sound when you press the trigger and release a bullet in a shooter game. Similarly, the feedback is bound to be more precise when you toggle between the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth quick settings. With precise haptic feedback, users can get the feel of pressing a physical button on a large smartphone screen.

Pressure-Sensitive Home Button on Galaxy S8 and S8+

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ were launched by Samsung way back in 2017. These smartphones came with a home button that was sensitive to pressure under their touchscreen displays.

When a long press was made on this button, it helped you land on the home screen irrespective of which screen you were on before pressing it. The button also helped you access the home screen even when the smartphone had entered sleep mode. Additionally, it can be used to wake up a locked smartphone.

Another key highlight of the pressure-sensitive button is that it is always active as long as the smartphones are in the on state thereby making them always accessible.
