Sony could be making preparations to get the console out by 2027!
PlayStation 5, which was launched towards the end of 2020, emerged as a huge success, just like its predecessors. Apart from its solid-state drive designed for high-speed data streaming, the console received a lot of praise for its storage performance, DualSense controller with haptic feedback and the robust Tempest Engine.
Though there has been no announcement about the Sony PlayStation 6, it is carrying a lot of buzz and the gaming community is waiting with bated breath for its arrival. For a long time, most gaming experts were of the opinion that the console would release sometime in 2028.

This prediction was a direct result of some Microsoft documents getting leaked and revealing that Microsoft is expecting PS6 and the next Xbox to be out in 2028.
Now, it is important to note here that these documents were filed a long time ago and therefore, could feature information that is outdated or no longer relevant. Recent rumors and reports have indicated that these consoles will be released much before 2028.
According to a recent report, Supermassive Games had plans to launch a new Blade Runner game for PS6 and other consoles in 2027. The same report further states that the game has now been cancelled. While fans would be disappointed by the fact that the game is no longer happening, one should make a note of the fact that Supermassive Games was expecting PS6 to come out in 2027.
Gaming geeks would remember that Supermassive Games used to be a partner of PlayStation. Nordisk, its owner, too, happens to be a partner of PlayStation. Based on these factors, one can assume that the company would have some awareness of when the Sony PlayStation 6 will be launched.

Sony has had a reputation of being secretive about the details related to its consoles and other products.
