Though fans will have to wait for a long time to get their hands on the game, Bethesda is making sure it meets expectations when it comes out.
During Bethesda’s Electronic Entertainment Expo conference organized in 2018, a formal announcement about The Elder Scrolls 6 was made. While the game entered the pre-production phase in 2018 itself, active production started in 2023 after the launch of Starfield. Given the fact that the game was launched 6 years back, fans are curious to know when it will get a full-fledged launch.
Keeping in mind the fact that Bethesda started working on the production of the game last year, one does not expect the game to be out anytime soon. However, fans do hope that Bethesda will not face any obstruction or delays during the production process and will be able to complete the game within a given timeline. The more the amount of time the studio spends on the development process, the higher will be the fans’ expectations from it.

The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the first game in the franchise, was rolled out in the year 1994. In these three decades, one has seen multiple games being launched as a part of the franchise. The massive success achieved by these games would have surely put some pressure on Bethesda and one expects them not to leave any stone unturned to ensure The Elder Scrolls 6 turns out to be a worthy addition to the franchise.
One of the things everybody is expecting The Elder Scrolls 6 to do is to bring in a sense of newness and novelty to open-world RPGs. Starfield was set in a similar space and since the studio is backing The ES 6, fans would expect it to be better in several aspects. Apart from being an improvement on the earlier games in the franchise, fans want it to be better than some of the recently released titles.
As per the information provided by a former Bethesda employee, one feature that has been selected for The Elder Scrolls 6 is Creation Club 2.0. Some ardent fans would know that Creation Club 2.0 is the upgraded mod tool system that gives users the opportunity to upload and download mods that are put together by other users. It also makes it possible for modding to be done on PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game.
Bruce Nesmith, who has served as the lead designer on Skyrim has stated that Creation Club 2.0 has been “perfectly tuned” for every Bethesda RPG including The Elder Scrolls 6. If all this information proves to be accurate, modders are going to have a field day with the arrival of TES6.

At the moment, Bethesda has not shared any update about the release date of The Elder Scrolls 6. With no release window in sight, fans are not sure when they will get to play the game. There is, however, a good possibility of Bethesda sharing an update before this year comes to a close.
