Fans are getting increasingly frustrated about Bethesda not sharing any update about the game!
The Elder Scrolls was announced with much fanfare at Bethesda’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 conference. After this announcement came through, fans looked forward to getting further updates on the title. It has been almost 7 years and one is yet to hear some important news on the game’s developmental process.
Now, Elder Scrolls fans have expressed frustration at a new Bethesda leak. A couple of days ago, one came across a report which suggested that Bethesda had some important plans for the next major expansion for Starfield. The report also stated that the update has been pushed to next year. As per the report, the update’s launch would happen closer to the global launch of the PlayStation 5.

The reason The Elder Scrolls fans are upset about this piece of information is that it could imply The Elder Scrolls 6 getting delayed further. The studio is already busy making content for Starfield. In such a scenario, the team’s attention could get divided and The Elder Scrolls 6 could be pushed ahead further. Now, with the expansion suffering from delay, the developmental work on The Elder Scrolls 6 could slow down further.
On the Reddit page of The Elder Scrolls 6, a fan wrote how the studio seems to have “assigned a skeleton crew to Starfield and are full force on TES6 or they have become extremely inefficient due to their size.”

Another user was a little more optimistic and wrote that the recent developments do not confirm that The Elder Scrolls 6 will not be launched in 2026.
It would be an understatement to say that fans of the franchise are getting impatient. The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced way back in 2018 and in these 7 years, one has hardly received any significant update on the game. Regardless of what the status is, it would be a good idea on Bethesda’s part to share some information on the much-awaited game
