The update also fixes some of the quest-based issues players had been dealing with for a while.

Launched on 22 April this year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was received very well by fans of the franchise. While the remastered version of the game appealed greatly to fans, everybody was waiting for the first major update to arrive.

Once gamers tried out The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the one thing they realized was that it was not devoid of issues. Gamers, in particular, found a lot of flaws with the in-game map. When players would venture into locations like ruins, caves or buildings, the Oblivion map would not function properly. The indoor map would not be visible. They would, instead, see the city map or the outside world map. Because of these things, players would find the process of exploring something extremely tough.

This new update has resulted in the interior map being shown correctly when one gets inside a dungeon or a building. Now, players can explore everything much more smoothly and there is no chance of them getting lost. This update, without a doubt, will make those happy who love exploring locations or places in the game.

While one should rejoice at the arrival of this new update, one cannot overlook the fact that the game is still riddled with several bugs and glitches. What one must mention here is that some of these glitches are funny. Therefore, many gamers do not mind their presence. In fact, many would want to see them continue to be a part of the game.

According to them, the presence of these bugs and glitches help them further in finding a connection with the original game. The aforementioned issue with the Oblivion map, however, made things difficult for players and therefore, they have welcomed this update with open arms.

Some older fans might find the process of switching maps manually a little tiresome. However, many will now find the game to be smoother and more fun. If you do not like this change, you should avoid the map for some time.

Since this update fixes some of the other bugs and issues with the game, including quest-based problems, it has been appreciated by most players. Fans would be happy to know that a second update is in the works at the moment.

The next update is expected to resolve some of the performance issues with the game. One of the bugs which players had been complaining about for a while is the one that breaks the primary story. If the developing team has made a note of it, one should expect it to be resolved with the arrival of the next update.
