Players on PC and mobile have the opportunity to play the game till January 30, 2025.
It has just been confirmed that The Elder Scrolls: Legends will not be accessible to gamers after January 30, 2025. After this date, players will not have the opportunity to play this digital game ever. The game has just been delisted from Steam. Till January 30, 2025, those who have access to it on mobile and PC can continue to play it.
2017 was the year when The Elder Scrolls: Legends was launched. Since a plethora of digital card games were already available, it faced stiff competition from all around. Though it was connected to the much-loved RPG franchise by Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls: Legends could not resonate with a large audience base. That is the biggest reason the publishers decided to draw the curtains on it.
At one point in 2017, the game managed to have more than 9,000 players in its fold and that was the kind of peak it witnessed for a brief period. By the time 2020 arrived, the Steam player count of the game had dropped down to hundreds. The game never managed to see much success coming its way after that. Towards the end of 2019, the game was put on hold and no update was released for it since then.
Bethesda has not shared any official confirmation about shutting down The Elder Scrolls: Legends. While launching The Elder Scrolls: Legends, players are greeted with a message stating that the game will be closed at some point. The message reads, “The Elder Scrolls Legends servers will permanently shut down on January 30, 2025”. The message further states that “all items in the store and entry into in-game events will be available for one gold each, so you can enjoy all the content Legends has to offer”. The message confirms that the game will be “inaccessible” after January 30, 2025.

When The Elder Scrolls: Legends was about to be launched, many believed that it would emerge as one of the most successful card games ever. However, for various reasons, the game could not match up to the expectations one had of it.
Since The Elder Scrolls: Legends has already been delisted from Steam, no new players will now be added to it. Though the game had a small audience, it remained loyal to it. The ones who enjoyed playing the game will not be able to enjoy it in its offline mode. Fans should, perhaps, seek solace in the fact that the game lingered on for seven long years despite never being able to draw the attention of a large player base towards it.
