In the last few years, one has heard all kinds of rumors about The Elder Scrolls VI. While some of these rumors have made the fans happy, some have got them concerned. A rumor, which came to the fore recently, has turned out to be a cause for worry for fans.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which came out way back in 2011, continues to be popular among fans. Given the kind of success the game has seen, fans have huge expectations from The Elder Scrolls VI. The long wait has played an important role in increasing the anticipation of fans significantly.

Bethesda has tried its best to ensure no information about The Elder Scrolls VI gets leaked. Despite all its efforts, a lot of information pertaining to the game has come to the fore in the past. How much of this information is true is something time will tell.

According to a recently circulated rumor, The Elder Scrolls 6 could feature two settings in the form of High Rock and Hammerfell. This rumor has got the fans worried as they feel it could repeat the same mistakes Bethesda committed with Starfield.

Starfield, which came out in 2023, had a lot of expectations riding on it. While the large open world of the game caught the attention of fans instantly, the game was also criticized severely for its empty and hollow structure.

With The Elder Scrolls 6, fans were expecting Bethesda to ensure it features a condensed setup. They hoped the game would be set in a single province. However, if there is an iota of truth in the recent rumors, that will not be the case.

Fans went on r/TESVI to vent out their frustration over this particular decision, which Bethesda could take for The Elder Scrolls VI. As per a Reddit user, incorporating two provinces would be “way too much” for Bethesda. Doing this, another user opined, would lead to the game becoming very shallow.
