This update fixes several base game issues that The Sims 4 players had been encountering for a long time.
A while back, one witnessed the launch of a fresh update in The Sims 4 in the form of the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion pack. Since 2025 is the year when The Sims franchise completes 25 years of its existence, fans were expecting one update to be launched after another. That, however, didn’t happen. For a long time after the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion pack was launched, there was no sign of another update arriving.
Now, one finally sees a new update being launched for The Sims 4. The freshly launched update for The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac and all leading consoles. This update features fixes for several bugs which players had been complaining about for a long time.

While the new patch has been designed to resolve the issues with the newest pack, it also comes equipped with some base game fixes and tweaks designed for other packs. When you play the game, you get a better understanding of the kind of difference the new patch has made to it.
Many players should be happy about the fact that the new update forbids the Burglar from stealing things that cannot be replaced. The update also stops Sims from hindering the operations of a business after closing time. It also contributes towards improving employee management in the game. While this is not a huge update by any stretch of the imagination, it comes equipped with some important improvements that enables one to have a smoother experience while playing the game.
Now that this update has been rolled out, you will see that the locked camera position no longer features in the Bracelet category of Accessories in Create a Sim. Players will now have the option of zooming in and out without facing any difficulty.

A while back, one saw the buttons designed for changing position in Pelt Paint Mode for Cats, Dogs and Horses going away. Those buttons have now been restored.
Even if a player just has ownership of the Base Game and Businesses & Hobbies, they will have access to the Pack Settings. Earlier, the Employee Section of the Career Panel was not shrinking even when one would minimize it. This issue, too, has now been fixed. On Retail Displays, the price for selling food will now show the correct number of servings.
