The Sims 4: Live Event Gets Extended Despite Console Connection Issues

The Sims 4

An update, to fix the connection issues, is expected to be rolled out soon!

In the last few years, one has seen several live events being hosted on The Sims 4. While not every live event organized in the game has received a favorable response, the rewards, which are offered as a part of these events, manage to attract a large number of gamers towards them.

While fans have been quite excited about the rewards associated with the Nature’s Calling event, the joy of being a part of this particular event has been greatly affected by the ongoing connectivity issues. For a while now, fans have been concerned about these connectivity issues. After remaining quiet for a while, Electronic Arts has finally made it clear that the live event shall get extended. The studio further stated that the developers have been working on an update to address connection issues pertaining to the console.

Initially, there were plans to wrap up the Nature’s Calling event by August 5. Now, @TheSimsDirect on X has claimed that the event has been extended by almost a month and therefore, fans should not worry. The live event will now run till September 2 and shall be accessible to all Sims 4 players. The event has several lucrative rewards associated with it, including the Shrek toilet. Now, all players, including those who have not faced these connection issues, will have to wait a little longer to claim these rewards.

Gamers now have the opportunity to play through rewards and challenges spanning across four weeks. If you are somebody who has not started exploring the Nature’s Calling event, you should be delighted to know that this extension has provided you with a lot more time to go through the different and claim rewards.

While the console connection issues have played truant, one has to acknowledge the fact that this event has largely been devoid of bugs. That was not the case with most of the events organized in The Sims 4 in the past. Most Simmers are quite happy with the nature-themed quests that are linked to the Enchanted by Nature pack.

The aforementioned X account further stated that the developers plan to roll out an update that will provide a fix for the connectivity issues associated with the console. In the recent past, one has seen several patches being released for The Sims 4. These patches managed to address and resolve several pertinent bugs, including the ones having an impact on Sim pregnancy. For a while, players were not able to get werewolf noses customized as per their preference. That issue, too, was resolved.

It is important to note here that none of the aforementioned updates were designed to address online connection issues. For a long time, several gamers have spoken about issues they have faced while connecting to The Sims 4 online on different consoles. While these issues have been around for a while, they seem to have been aggravated after the base game updates of July have come through.

Now that EA has finally confirmed that it is working towards coming up with a solution to fix this, gamers should expect this issue to be resolved soon. While there is no clarity on the timeline of this update at the moment, one thing is quite certain – it will be rolled out before the event comes to an end in early September.
