The new features should arrive via fresh updates that should be rolled out soon!
The Sims 4 has just launched a survey that gives fans the opportunity to vote and share their suggestions on the kind of content that should be introduced in the base game for free. In September 2014, The Sims 4 was launched for the first time. Ardent fans would remember that back then, one would see babies turning into children in no time. Owing to many of the updates that have been rolled out to the game over the years, one can now see newborns slowly turning into infants, infants becoming toddlers and toddlers taking the form of children.
The Sims Team is known for launching important patches that contribute to altering the base game. The Sims 4 infant update is a great example of this. One has also seen smaller changes being introduced into the game via Sims Delivery Express and hotfixes. Owing to all the content that has been brought into the game in the recent past, players have had the chance to put together realistic Sims in Create-a-Sim. They have been able to do that because of items like hearing aids, custom pronouns and binders. They also got the opportunity to celebrate different types of cultures what with patches bringing in regional holidays, recipes and festive items.

As far as countries, cultures and customization are concerned, one never runs out of options. However, many of these options have not been added to The Sims 4 yet. The developers, however, are far from reaching the stage where they would stop caring about the project. A freshly conducted survey implored fans to share their thoughts on elements that they believe should be added to the game in the near future.
In this particular survey, the developers get fans to share feedback on the things that should be introduced in The Sims 4 as a “part of free content updates”. Recently, a fan who is quite active on Reddit uploaded some screenshots of the survey and spoke about how delighted they are to see that there is a possibility of elements related to the Iranian culture being introduced in the game soon through a new update.
The way the questionnaire has been worded makes one believe that the team is working towards incorporating several new features and a variety of cultures in the game. Most of the features should not be kept behind a paywall and should be accessible to all gamers.

In the past, The Sims 4 has been criticized on several occasions for allowing fans access to content through paid DLCs.
The fact, however, remains that players are never asked to pay for basic features.
