While The Sims 4 is not plagued with as many issues as The Sims 3, it still has a lot to deal with.
Launched in 2014, The Sims 4 has managed to build a reputation for itself as a ‘big’ game. With time, the player base of the game has increased steadily. That, of course, does not mean that it is a game without any blemishes. Players have often complained about the game being filled with glitches. Once the existing glitches are driven away, new ones appear on the horizon with the arrival of a fresh DLC.
One of the good things about The Sims 4 is that it operates smoothly even when it is infiltrated with bugs and glitches. Fans have seldom experienced long loading times and crashes with the game. Fans, however, are not too happy with bugs and glitches entering the game every time a new DLC is launched.

When The Sims 4 was launched, fans realized it did not have many of the issues one came across in The Sims 3. The same was the case with The Sims 3. It did not have the kind of problems one encountered with The Sims 2.
Gaming experts are of the opinion that Maxis could have worked towards resolving this problem a little differently. To ensure the glitches found in The Sims 3 do not make their way into The Sims 4, for instance, the developers let go of features that these glitches were found in. These features, which were a part of The Sims 3, did not find a place for themselves in The Sims 4.
The number of DLCs launched in The Sims 4 is much higher than the number of DLCs one witnessed being rolled out to The Sims 3. The 2009 launched game, however, featured a higher number of expansions than the first and second iterations of the game. The Sims 3, however, had its own set of issues.
Like the older games in the franchise, The Sims 3 did not have strong optimization facilities and therefore, it would take a great amount of time to load content. As far as neighborhoods were concerned, The Sims 3 had an open-world approach. Sims, for example, could be directed to multiple locations without making a loading screen a part of the proceedings. As and when new content would be added to the game, the issues affecting it would become much more prominent.

At times, players would come across a pop-up that would say that they have not been recommended to play the game with more than a handful of expansion packs. If players tried out too many expansion packs, the game would become slow and this would greatly hamper their overall experience of playing the game. This is one issue that one did not come across too often in The Sims 4.
At the moment, there are many issues with The Sims 4. One of the things players have pointed out is that they do not have sufficient options to customize each neighborhood. Despite all these issues, one cannot ignore the fact that the game offers a fairly smooth gameplay experience.
