Sims 4 Reward event

Despite limited-time events being introduced quite regularly, many players are not happy with them!

Ever since The Sims 4 was launched in 2014, it has gone from strength to strength. In its decade-long journey, the game has received several updates and managed to build a solid player base for itself. While players have been quite happy with fresh updates and new packs being rolled out for the game regularly, they are quite concerned by these packs and updates turning out to be flawed on several occasions. A recent event has now brought one’s attention to an issue that has been affecting the game for quite some time now.

The Life & Death expansion pack has been one of the newest additions to the game. This expansion pack has played an important role in getting a larger number of players hooked to the game. Regardless of the kind of issues players have had with The Sims 4 over the last several years, the one thing that cannot be denied is that the game has constantly received a supply of fresh content. The latest online event of the game utilizes limited-time pressure to ensure players remain in the loop. This is one of those signs that indicate certain elements pertaining to the new update could do with some alteration.

The Reaper’s Rewards event has a limited-time structure to it. This is one of the reasons why most of the rewards offered by it are difficult to achieve. Though some of the newer players will perceive the weekly tasks to be useful, the majority of players would be annoyed by the reminders that pop up constantly. While one does not have the option to get out of it, players can get it removed by being fully online or eliminating it from the game files.

The Reaper’s Rewards has been plagued by a few other issues as well. While participating in Happy at Home, the last online event, players encountered some bugs. Since bugs have been a part of The Sims 4 for a very long time, one has to assume that the development team still lacks the bandwidth to deal with them properly. It must be mentioned here that these events happen to be an integral part of the base game updates. Therefore, when a player does not download the latest DLC, they could stumble upon some issues.

Though The Sims 4 has been around for 10 years now, it has been updated with both new DLC packs and free base game updates at regular intervals. Though the content might not always be up to the mark, one has to give some points to Electronic Arts for ensuring that players do not stuck with dated or old content.

While some players welcome limited-time events, those who do not wish to participate in them find them to be invasive. A lot of players are of the opinion that such kind of events should be restricted to scenarios wherein the players get to decide whether they would want to take up tasks that lead to rewards.
