The board game, expected to feature many of the life simulation elements found in The Sims games, is expected to come out this Fall!
Goliath Games, a leading toy and game manufacturer, has just announced a collaborative partnership with The Sims to create the first board game of the franchise. The Sims franchise has existed for 25 years now and in all these years, one has seen multiple entries, a plethora of events and a lot of exciting content emerging out of it. However, this would be the first time that fans would get to see a board game based on the franchise.
The first game in The Sims franchise was launched in February 2000. The game turned out to be a huge success and paved the way for several more games to release as a part of this franchise.

The Sims 4 was launched in 2014. Though it has been more than a decade since a mainline game has been launched, the popularity of the franchise has remained intact. By launching new packs, kits, free updates and a lot of other content, Maxis has ensured players remain interested and invested in The Sims 4.
2025 seemed to be the year when one would get to see a lot of exciting developments taking place. The launch of a Sims-based board game should definitely make fans happy and this might also pave the way for a lot more fresh content being rolled out in the near future.
The board game, which is being developed by Goliath Games, is expected to be out in Fall 2025. As per the official statement, this board game will offer one a “whole new way to play”. Jochanan Golad, who serves as the CEO of Goliath Games, stated that the company looks at it as a very important opportunity to bring “a new, innovative way to live The Sims”.
Since Goliath has been designing and manufacturing games for a long time, the CEO believes it was the right company to handle this opportunity.
Lyndsay Pearson, who is VP of Franchise Creative of The Sims, shared some details about the The Sims 25th anniversary. According to Pearson, this is just the “perfect opportunity” for the company to try out a new way to play the game. Pearson further stated that Goliath will be able to create “the perfect immersive board game experience”.

Once launched, The Sims board game will be available at all major retailers. As one moves closer to the launch date, more details are expected to be revealed. Goliath Games, at its end, has stated that more information will be shared about the game at the New York Toy Fair, which is scheduled to take place from March 1 to 4.
While fans are curious about the operations and mechanics involved in the game, Goliath and EA has not shared any details about it. Based on the information one has received so far, Goliath and EA seem to be working towards incorporating the life simulation elements popularized by the franchise.
