The soon-to-be-launched game will give players the opportunity to create the town of Plumbrook and customize it as per their own preferences.
Recently, one stumbled upon a new game listed on the Google Play Store in the form of The Sims Labs: Town Stories. This would be a new entry in the very popular life simulation gaming franchise. Through a new play-testing campaign, EA wants to experiment with a variety of genres and gameplay. This new game seems to be a part of this ambitious campaign.
The first game in the Sims franchise arrived in the gaming arena in the year 2000. As soon as the game released, it generated a great amount of interest in the gaming community. Apart from its life simulation abilities, the game stood out for its character customization features and humor. The continuous addition of new expansions by EA played an important role in keeping the interest of fans alive in the game for so many years. The popularity of the franchise resulted in several sequels and spin-offs being released.

As a spin-off game, The Urbz: Sims in the City became extremely popular. One, therefore, has a lot of expectations from The Sims Labs: Town Stories, which is another spin-off game introduced as a part of the franchise. The game is expected to debut on the Google Play Store soon. A definite release date, however, has not been announced as yet. At the moment, one does not have much information about the game. As per the description on the Google Play page, it is a building simulation game wherein players will get the opportunity to build their own unique town, which would be quite similar to Disney Dreamlight Valley.
In The Sims Labs: Town Stories, several in-game residents will get the chance to move into Plumbrook. Once they move in, they can customize and upgrade it the way they want to. They will get access to furniture, building types and several other options to play around with. Town Stories happens to be one of the first-ever entries in The Sims Labs brand created by EA. Through this brand, EA aims to expand the franchise considerably and explore several other mediums. In the near future, players will get the opportunity to playtest entries that will be launched soon.

Though The Sims Labs: Town Stories is an extremely important title for The Sims franchise, this is not the first time one will get to see a series making a space for itself in the mobile space. Multiple iterations of the main series have earlier been seen on both Google Play and the App Store.
In the pat, one has also witnessed the MySims games taking a town-building spin-off approach. Despite this, one expects The Sims Labs: Town Stories to offer some novelty and introduce fans of the franchise to some elements which they have not been exposed to earlier. Till now, one only has the description on Google Play and a few screenshots to refer to.
