Treyarch has unveiled screenshots of different areas featured in the new Zombies map.
Treyarch, the company behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, has unveiled new screenshots of ‘The Tomb’, the new Zombies map. This particular map will be available when Season 2 is launched. Another reason why players should look forward to the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 is that it will bring to the fore a new enemy along with fresh gear. Players would be delighted with the return of a weapon which was a part of the older Call of Duty games and was a huge hit with fans.
On January 28, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 will be launched officially. With its launch, players will get access to a plethora of fresh content for both Zombies and multiplayer mode. Along with new maps and weapons, players can look forward to returning modes like Gun Game. The inclusion of The Tomb will play an important role in taking the Zombies storyline forward in the game. This storyline, as ardent fans would know, takes off after the events of the Citadelle des Morts Zombies map.

The reason behind Treyarch revealing new screenshots of the new Zombies map is to get players ready for what is scheduled to arrive on January 28. Players will have to start out with the Dig Site, which happens to be a huge archaeological area equipped with glowing runes and paths that lead one towards the Ossuary and Catacombs. Players, while navigating their way through the Neolithic Catacombs, will realize all that remains of ancient cultures and civilizations.
The new Zombies map comprises nine areas including Dig Site, Deep Excavation, Shrine of the Hierophants, Dark Aether Nexus, Subterranean Temple, Tombs, The Ossuary, Doorway to Nowhere and Neolithic Catacombs.
These new screenshots showcase the Tombs area which features statues of ancient warriors lined up against the walls. These walls depict shielded hoplites putting up a fight against a charging bull. The architecture, which one can see inside the Tombs, has a sense of purity in it. The sunlight entering the area via a hole makes the visual all the more alluring.

Once you cross the Tombs, you come across the Shrine of the Hierophants. It can be best described as a candlelit, vaulted area which is primarily used as the resting place for prominent figures from a bygone area. Before getting inside the Deep Excavation and Subterranean Temple, one has to visit the shrine.
The new Zombies map will give players the opportunity to explore several interesting things. The Tomb, among other things, will introduce players to a new enemy in the form of the Shock Mimic. These are creatures that have the skill to disguise themselves as important items and then, attack players with razor-sharp claws. The Shock Mimic also possesses the capability of electrifying players and getting them disoriented using a distortion camouflage. By doing this, they can disrupt the player’s radar.
