It is expected that Vivo will unveil the sub-flagship Vivo S20 series featuring at least two smartphones Vivo S20 and Vivo S20 Pro in China towards the end of November.
The model numbers V2429A and V2430A revealed on several Chinese platforms are likely to be the Vivo S20 and S20 Pro. A new Weibo post now reveals the processor and camera details of the two handsets.
Processor Details
According to the post by Digital Chat Station, the Pro variant of the Vivo S20 lineup will likely have a Dimensity 9300+ processor under the hood. This will be one point of difference with respect to the vanilla model that is expected to have a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip along with a maximum of 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.
Camera Setup
The Vivo S20 Pro will have an ultra-thin triple-camera setup with a resolution of 50 MP for each snapper on the back panel. These three cameras will be a primary snapper with a Sony IMX921 sensor and OIS support; a periscope telephoto shooter with a Sony IMX882 sensor and 3x optical zoom; and an ultra-wide lens. This will be the first time an S-series smartphone is incorporating a periscope telephoto camera.
On the front, the handset will once again have a 50 MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Other Expected Specifications
The smartphone will house an OLED LTPS 6.67-inch screen featuring a micro-quad-curved design. This screen also supports a 1.5K refresh rate and a 120 Hz refresh rate. There will also be an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo S20 Pro will house a fairly large battery with a capacity of 5,500 mAh. This battery will support 90 W fast charging.
While Vivo has kept the details of the Vivo S20 lineup under wraps, it is worth keeping in mind that the above specifications of the Vivo S20 Pro may change and should be considered with a pinch of salt.
