Vivo X Fold 4 Battery, Camera and Processor Details Revealed; Lighter and Thinner Than X Fold 3

Vivo and Oppo are allegedly working towards the launch of their foldable Vivo X4 Fold and Oppo Find N5 in early 2025.

While there were two X Fold 3 models comprising the X Fold 3 and the X Fold 3 Pro, the current model is not likely to have any variant. However, there will be a fiberglass option. Also, although the name of the foldable is yet to be ascertained, it is addressed as the Vivo X Fold 4.

Battery and Charging Details

Vivo X Fold 4According to a recent leak on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, the X Fold 4 will encompass lower and upper silicon batteries with close to 6000 mAh capacity. As the earlier Vivo X Fold 3 series supported wireless charging, it is only fair to assume that the manufacturer will offer the feature in the upcoming foldable as well.

Processor Details of Vivo X Fold 4

The leak on Weibo hints that the upcoming X Fold 4 will be powered by an SM8750 processor under its hood. While he does not explicitly mention the name of the processor, it is a known fact that the codename SM8750 refers to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. This is very likely to be true since the current foldables X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro house Qualcomm’s present flagship chipset.

Camera Setup

The Vivo X Fold 4 is slated to have a circular camera module in the rear panel. The module will have a 50 MP primary shooter as part of the triple-camera setup that also includes an ultra-wide camera and a periscope telephoto lens. These two cameras may also have 50 MP resolution like the predecessors. An LED flash may be included in the camera module. Apart from this setup, there will be a single standalone periscope telephoto lens.

Going by the leak, the X Fold 4 will be lighter and thinner than the earlier X Fold 3 Pro. The smartphone will be only around 8.x mm thick. The tipster goes on to add that the fiberglass model will have a weight of 21x g. The Vivo X Fold 4 will have an IPX8 rating to feature resistance to water.
