The Vivo X Fold 5 will arrive as the successor of the X Fold 3, which debuted last year.
While earlier reports suggested that the foldable may be named X Fold 4, this is not likely to be the case, as the number 4 is associated with bad luck in the home country. It will also be thinner than its predecessor with some noteworthy upgrades.
While earlier reports shared limited details about the smartphone, a new XpertPick leak gives an insight into all the major specifications.
Rumored X Fold5 Specs
Under its hood, the handset will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. One RAM and storage combination will be 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The foldable is anticipated to launch with other options as well.
There will be three 50 MP cameras on the back of the X Fold 5. They will be a primary Sony IMX921 shooter, a Sony IMX882 telephoto periscope shooter with 3x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide shooter with autofocus.

There will be a 32 MP camera on the inner display and another of the same resolution on the inside display for selfies.
The smartphone will have an 8.03-inch AMOLED inner display with a 2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the outer cover display will have a LTPO OLED 6.53-inch panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The handset will have the biggest battery for a foldable. This is a 6,000 mAh battery with 90 W wired charging and 30 W wireless charging support.
The X Fold 5 will be 9.3 mm thick in the unfolded state and 4.3 mm when it is folded.

It will be enriched with a bevy of features like a fingerprint scanner on the side, several AI-driven tools, and a three-stage Alert Slider. The smartphone will also have an IP rating.
If the manufacturer adopts the launch strategy of the X Fold 3, we can expect the Vivo X Fold 5 to break cover anytime soon, as the predecessor saw the light of day in April 2024.
