Vivo X Fold 5 Supports an Ultra-Thin 6,000 mAh Battery and Multitasking

There has been no dearth of news about the upcoming Vivo X Fold 5.

The brand’s product manager Han Boxiao claims that the foldable will offer significant battery and multitasking upgrades. One of the key highlights of the Vivo X Fold 5 smartphone is a new Atomic Workbench feature. This will allow the user to work on five apps simultaneously on the big screen.

The above feature allows the user to run professional tools, monitor stock trends, check their PPT slides, and answer video calls simultaneously on the handset without interruption. They can also continue playing their favorite game at the same time.

The foldable will portray suitability for play and work alike, with its real-time interaction support across five app windows.

Reported X Fold 5 Specs

The X Fold 5 will have an 8.03-inch AMOLED 2K+ inner display and a 6.53-inch LTPO outer display. Both of them will support a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone will feature a 50 MP triple camera setup with Zeiss branding. These three cameras are a main camera, a telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide lens.

The handset will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor along with 512 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM. It will run on Android 15 topped with OxygenOS 5.

The X Fold 5 will be powered by an ultra-thin silicon negative electrode battery that makes it thinner than a Chinese 1 Yuan. The battery will have a capacity of 6,000 mAh and support 90 W fast wired charging and 30 W wireless charging.

The foldable will feature IP5X dust resistance and IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ water resistance ratings. It will also support iCloud sync and Apple Watch.

The Vivo X Fold 5 will launch in China on the 25th of this month and will have a global launch in July.
