imaging chips for vivo X200 Ultra

The Vivo X200 Ultra will be an add-on to the existing X200 lineup.

The key highlight of the Vivo X200 Ultra will be the excellent photography experience that the smartphone is capable of delivering. A couple of new reports have now been released by the brand confirming this statement.

In one report, the brand has revealed the first official image of the handset, showcasing a dedicated camera button. Another report mentions the inclusion of two new dedicated imaging chips, VS1 and V3+, that enhance the quality of the shots taken with the X200 Ultra.

Dedicated Camera Button

The dedicated camera button will be present on the right side of the Vivo X200 Ultra on the lower part of the frame and will have a blue strip that offers visual contrast. Interestingly, this will be the first smartphone from Vivo to have such a button. The button will not only function as a press-down key but will also portray a sliding action.

The sliding mechanism will help in adjusting multiple settings to control the exposure, focus, or zoom with precision and deliver better shots.

VS1 and V3+ Imaging Chips

The VS1 and V3+ imaging chips will come along with a redesigned triple flash system known as the zoom flash. While the VS1 is a pre-processing chip, the V3+ is a post-processing chip.

The VS1 chip enhances the total dependability of the camera module of the handset. It is responsible for performing the preliminary processing tasks such as image stacking, focus, and exposure.

The V3+ chip is responsible for handling heavier tasks like detail enhancement and noise reduction.

The two imaging chips, along with the ISP of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm, will take the image processing capabilities of the X200 Ultra to a new level.

The zoom flash exposes the subject properly by covering the field of view properly and improves the quality of low-light photography shots. This is impossible with a single LED flash.

The Vivo X200 Ultra and the X200s are expected to be launched in China in the latter half of April.
