Vivo X200 Ultra 200 mm Detachable Telephoto Lens

All reports and leaks about the Vivo X200 Ultra in the past indicated a triple-camera setup on the back.

However, the brand’s Vice President Huang Tao recently teased a fourth camera on the smartphone without revealing any details. This has now been confirmed by Han Boxiao confirmed the teaser and also let out details of the fourth shooter.

The fourth snapper of the X200 Ultra will be an external detachable and standalone super telephoto lens. This sensor will have a 200 MP resolution, an f/2.3 aperture, and a 200 mm focal length. It can be fitted to the smartphone through a USB Type-C connection.

As is the case with most Vivo handsets, the manufacturer has joined with ZEISS to develop this camera. This snapper will feature the ZEISS Blue Label branding and come as a part of the photography kit for the handset.

This snapper features a Kepler-style 13-element, 3-group construction and makes use of high-transmittance elements made of glass for maximum precision and clarity. It will incorporate RMSC technology and offer a second zoom stage. This zoom stage will support 70x or 1600 mm digital zoom and 35x or 800 mm zoom to deliver the same image quality as that of a traditional 30x system. The lens will also enhance the mobile photography experience with an 8.7x optical zoom.

Other Expected Three Cameras in X200 Ultra

The other three cameras in the X200 Ultra are a main camera, a periscope telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide camera.

The main camera will have a Sony LYT-818 35 mm sensor with a 50 MP resolution. On the other hand, the periscope telephoto camera will feature a Samsung HP9 85 mm sensor with a 200 MP resolution.

The ultra-wide camera will house a LYT-818 14 mm sensor with a 50 MP resolution. The triple camera setup will support cinematic 4K 120 fps video recording and 4K 60 fps 10-bit log.

They will produce DSLR-like output using VS1 and V3+ pre-processing and post-processing chips for DSLR-like output. There will be a dedicated Action Button to control its customizable zoom flash system.
