Vivo Y300 5G Design, Specs and Pricing Leaked Before November 21 Launch; Possibly a V40 Lite Rebranding

Vivo announced that it would launch the vanilla variant Vivo Y300 5G in India on November 21 following the launch of the Vivo Y300 Pro and Vivo Y300 Plus in the last couple of months.

The India wing of the brand posted a teaser on its social media handle of the popular X platform giving an insight into the color options and rear design of the smartphone that will be a successor to the Vivo Y200.

Expected Vivo Y300 5G Specifications

While Vivo has kept the details of the upcoming smartphone under wraps, recently leaked news has shared the possible specifications and price of the Y300 5G.

The handset will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that offers support for 80 W fast charging and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset under its hood. The storage and RAM details are not known for the moment although at least one variant is expected to be 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

For the display, the smartphone will have an AMOLED 6.7-inch panel with 1200 nits peak brightness and 120 Hz refresh rate along with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Among various AI-driven features, the AI Aura Light Ring LED flash feature will help in the adjustment of warm color and color adjustments plus setting three levels of brightness.  There will additionally be an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The back panel of the Vivo Y300 5G will have a two-camera setup comprising a main snapper with a Sony IMX882 sensor and a 50 MP resolution as well as a bokeh camera with a 2 MP resolution. On the front, there will be a 32 MP camera. The smartphone will additionally produce stereo output using two speakers.

The Y300 5G is anticipated to come with an improved IP 64 rating for dust and water details.

While the pricing details are not clear right now, it may be recalled that the Y300+ arrived with a starting price tag of INR 23,999. Hence, the Y300 may be priced slightly less.

The design of the teaser and the leaked specifications indicate a close match to the Vivo V40 Lite that was launched globally a few months ago. This could mean that the Vivo Y300 5G will arrive as a rebranded Vivo V40 Lite.
