With a lot of talks doing the rounds about the upcoming Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, the latest news officially lets out the processor used in the two smartphones.
The news also confirms that this Xiaomi 15 lineup will be launched towards the end of next month on the 23rd of October.
Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro Processor Details
The official news reveals the new lineup to house Snapdragon X Elite, the laptop processor from Qualcomm under their hoods. Interestingly, this name was first leaked by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station. The processor will be launched by Qualcomm at the Snapdragon Summit 2024 event.
The eight-core processor will incorporate the manufacturer’s custom Oryon 3nm architecture. Two cores will clock at 4.0 GHz and function as performance cores. On the other hand, the remaining six cores will have a clocking frequency of 2.8 GHz and work like efficiency cores.
Other Specifications
The Xiaomi15 lineup is anticipated to come with a micro-curved OLED display with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. While the bigger 15 Pro model is slated to have a 6.74-inch screen, the screen of the vanilla Xiaomi 15 handset is likely to be smaller.
The base model is expected to be powered by a 5000 mAh battery. In contrast, the 15 Pro will most likely be packed with a bigger 6000 mAh battery with support for 90 W fast charging. This will be a huge leap from the 4880 mAh battery in the predecessor model, the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
