While Xiaomi just launched the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro in its Xiaomi 15 lineup, the rumor mill has started turning out details of the top-end model, Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The latest leak is centered around the smartphone camera setup and reveals some interesting insights.
Camera Setup
According to the leak by Digital Chat Station, the primary shooter of the 15 Ultra will incorporate a custom hardware module featuring a 50 MP Sony LYT-900 image sensor. This sensor will portray a f/1.6 aperture and a 23 mm focal length that is bigger than in the predecessor.
As for the periscope telephoto camera, the handset will have a 200 MP sensor with a f/2.6 aperture and a 100 mm focal length that is around 25.x mm physical focal length with a little bit of cropping. There will also be two zoom choices of 4.1x with the full native 1/1.4-inch sensor and 4.3x with 1/1.5-inch image size.
Going by earlier leaks, the smartphone will additionally have a 50 MP Sony IMX858 telephoto camera and a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KJN5 ultra-wide lens. There will be an Omnvision OV32B 32 MP sensor in the front.
Other Expected Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specficications
The smartphone will come with three options for the material finish, namely, fiberglass; plain leather; and ceramic. It will be packed with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and run on Android 15 topped with the manufacturer’s Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0.

On the display front, the 15 Ultra will have an LTPO OLED 6.7-inch panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and micro-curved edges. There will also be an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that offers assurance of secure and convenient unlocking.
The handset will be powered by a huge 6,000 mAh battery with support for 80 W wireless charging and 90 W fast charging.
It is worth noting that the manufacturer has not confirmed any of the above specifications and hence they may change over time.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is slated to launch in a couple of months from now and will be available in the home country in China in early 2025.
