Xiaomi 15 Ultra First Official Camera Sample Teased Revealing Low-Light Capability

Xiaomi will unveil its upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra and SU7 Ultra at the launch event in China towards the end of the month.

While there have been various reports earlier about the specs of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the first camera sample of the smartphone has now been released officially.

The camera sample was posted on Weibo by Lei Jun, founder, CEO, and chairman of Xiaomi. The image comes with a tagline indicating that the photo was shot using a lens with an aperture of f/2.6, an ISO of 5000, a focal length of 100 mm, and a shutter with a speed of 1/25th of a second.

Going by leaks gathered so far, this lens is bound to be a Leica lens in the periscope telephoto camera with a resolution of 200 MP. This sensor is also said to offer up to 120x digital zoom and 4.3x optical zoom.

Other Rumored Specifications

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a micro-quad-curved 6.8-inch AMOLED display panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2K. The display will also incorporate an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and also house up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.

Apart from the periscope telephoto camera cited above, the handset will have a Sony-LYT900 main snapper with a resolution of 50 MP and a Sony IMX858 ultra-wide telephoto camera with 50 MP resolution.

The handset will be powered by a huge 6,000 mAh battery. This battery will offer 50 W wireless charging support and 90 W wired charging support.

There are talks that the manufacturer will host its launch event on the 27th or 28th of this month. If so, we can hope for the Xiaomi 15 to break cover at that time.
